We do this by making sure every part of the process, from donor selection to storage and shopping, is up to our strict standards. This process includes:

  • Strict donor screening
  • Advanced genetic screening
  • Testing for infectious diseases
  • Commitment to safety

This is also why we are so diligent in securing accreditations – because we know that we are up to standard when we meet and exceed them. This gives you peace of mind, and also insures that we have the highest quality donor sperm out there.

Here’s a look at all the certifications, licensing, accreditations, and more that Cascade Cryobank has:

FDA Registered

Cascade Cryobank both meets and exceeds the FDA’s requirements for sperm banks. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration protects the public health’s interests in a variety of ways. The FDA has a set of standards for our industry, which we follow diligently. We need to ensure that our rigorous protocols for screening and testing of donor sperm meets their standards. This includes everything from donor sperm to cryopreservation.

CLIA Accreditation

We also have CLIA Accreditation, which stands for Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments. When a laboratory space is accredited by the CLIA, it means that they operate their labs to the highest standards. All our reference laboratories where we send sperm samples out for testing are CLIA accredited. These are the facilities we work with to test donor samples for infectious diseases and for genetic screening.

Washington State Department of Health

Cascade Cryobank is located in Lynnwood, Washington, which means that we need to be licensed through Washington State’s Department of Health in order to do business here. We adhere to their strict standards so we can maintain this licensure.
