The Process
Admission to Cascade Cryobank’s Sperm Donor Program is a simple, yet selective process. If you are accepted into the program, our team will work with you to create the best possible donation experience.
Apply Online Now
Fill out our interest questionnaire to see if you are eligible to be a donor. If you meet the requirements to become a donor, one of our team members will contact you through your preferred method of communication. They will discuss the donation process, answer any questions you may have, and get you scheduled for your initial appointment.
Initial Appointments
Potential donors, who are men between the ages of 21 to 39, must have no past medical history of any illnesses other than the occasional cold, flu or seasonal allergies. Applicants are invited to an initial interview, during which we meet the donor, discuss their reasons for wanting to be a sperm donor, and review educational and professional history. An initial semen evaluation is performed to determine if the specimen is acceptable for use in assisted reproductive therapy.
Those donors who are determined to have exceptional personal character and can produce acceptable specimens are invited back for a complete clinical and physical evaluation and clinical laboratory testing. All screening procedures, including genetic screening and physical examination, are free of charge to you.
Admission to the Program
Once you pass all of the screening procedures, one of our team members will contact you to let you know that you have been accepted to the donor program. Congratulations and Welcome to Cascade Cryobank!
Regular Donor
You are now considered a regular donor! Our team will diligently work with you to find the most convenient times to schedule your donation appointments. You will be expected to donate between 1 to 3 times a week. You will be paid $100 for each donation, which can add up to over $1,000 per month!
“Retired” Donor
When you retire from the donor program, we require that you return 6 months following your last donation for one last required infectious disease testing. Any withheld compensation from your donation period will be released upon receiving your final blood test.
We also require 1 annual checkup every year to verify your current health status, for a period of up to 20 years.
