Cascade Cryobank Appears on the Fertility Docs Uncensored Podcast

We are excited to announce that we have appeared on the Fertility Docs Uncensored podcast and the episode has gone live today, December 10, 2024. Dylan Morgan, the COO here at Cascade Cryobank and Melanie Michaelson, a reproductive mental health professional who works closely with us appeared together.

Melanie has a practice in Washington works closely with Cascade Cryobank to explore the mental health considerations of donors, recipients, and donor conceived children. She and Dylan explored these topics together during the podcast.

The topic they discussed is Early Disclosure of Donor Identity of Donor Conceived People. Dylan goes into detail on what “Early Disclosure of Donor Identity” really means, as well as what is traditionally done at other sperm banks.

Cascade Cryobank worked with Melanie to develop the Early Disclosure Program, which allows the identity of the donor to be released to the parents at the time of a live birth. Donors have a choice whether they can opt in to this program, but to donate at Cascade Cryobank they do need to consent to being part of the Open ID program, which releases the identity of the donor to the donor conceived people when they turn eighteen.
